We, the Croatians around the World
On the 10th anniversary of the military operation "Oluja" and the liberation of Croatia, we join all those in Croatia and throughout the world, who ask for an energetic stance towards the international tribunal in the Hague, regardless of their political pressures tied to the membership in the European community and its modest economic privileges.
Requesting along with support from millions of Croatians in the world and in Croatia to openly, proudly, loudly and clearly state:
- Croatia was attacked by Serbia and the Yugoslav Army and the war was fought on Croatian territory, not in Serbia.
- Croatia was a victim of Serbian aggression, in which tens of thousands were killed or wounded, a half a million forced to flee from their homes and the unlimited material damage and destruction.
- We are not allowing history to be rewritten or for the equal distribution of blame or for transforming Serbian aggression into a civil war.
- We ask the justice system to increase their investigation and to bring to court all those responsible for the countless Serbian acts of aggression in Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, where over 300,000 people lost their lives.
- General Ante Gotovina is not a war criminal, rather, a hero who fought for and defended Croatia, respecting the most humane standards of war.
- We ask the world to defend the journalists who were charged for reporting the truth.
- Let us stand up in Croatia's defense, its free territories, the pride and future of the Croatian people.
