Sanader gives ICTY Prosecutor Carla Del Ponte documents from HDZ' Archives

According to sources inside the HDZ, Croatia's ruling party, there is yet more scandalous news concening HDZ's President, the party, and particularly with Prime Minister Ivo Sanader. Approximately six months ago, Ivo Sanader, in agreement with Carla Del Ponte, allowed ICTY Prosecutors to enter and retrieve documents inside HDZ' archives.  In the meantime, however, Sanader and Del Ponte agreed to even more then allowing photocopies of these documents.

The ICTY Prosecution members were allowed inside the HDZ' archives, make photocopies of documents and bring them back to The Hague so they could continue their work on indictments against Croatian generals. The largest portion of documents obtained were from the HDZ activites in Bosnia-Herzegovina and premised on documents when the HDZ took power. Documents were given to the ICTY Prosecutor's Office against General Slobodan Praljak and the remaining indicted Croatians from Bosnia-Herzegovina who are currently facing trial at The Hague. According to a high-ranking source inside the HDZ, ICTY Prosecution members left with 3,700 pages of documents, numerous videos and audio material from the HDZ' archives. It is unknown whether or not Sanader requested authorization from party members to give the ICTY Prosecutors these documents.
