We will reactivate the Z-4 Plan which Serbs give political, economic and cultural autonomy, says Štrbac.

After Večernji List published texts about how absurd it was that the main co-worker of Chief Prosecutor Carla Del Ponte, a man who was one of the main protagonists who ruled the Krajina Serbs, and in Milan Babic's trial declared him an "inherent criminal," thus, the Croatian Attorney General's office obviously does not intend to pursue Savo Štrbac. Štrbac obviously knows this so he continues his anti-Croatian work.

We will reactivate Z- 4 Plan which returns the Serbs political, economic and cultural autonomy in Croatia, says Savo Štrbac from Belgrade who is President of Vertias - Center for Research and Documentation and former secretary of the so-called Republic of Serbian Krajina.  Štrbac, the author of the indictments issued against General Gotovina, Glavas, and Mercep emphasized that eleven years after Operation Storm, Serbs accept the Z-4 Plan, regardless that the authors are the UN, EU, United States and Russia, and "the Serbs initiated this on the eve of Operation Storm in Geneva," says Štrbac. There are aleady Serbian lobbyists lobbying for this in all international institutions, says Štrbac.

We are buying the truth

Vecernji List: Are you relying on international support?

ŠTRBAC: We already have the support of western countries. We are lobbying and with lobbying anything can be achieved, you can even buy the truth. With strong a lobby, you can create a truth from an untruth and the Serbs need to understand this: through our lobbying circles, we will obtain what we are searching for.

Vecernji List: From 1999, you have been visiting Croatia, do you have a passport?

ŠTRBAC: I received my citizenship with the assistance of the office in Benkovac, which is my civil right to do so, I did not place pressure on them... If I cannot travel with a Yugoslav passport, then I will look for a Croatian passport. I was born and acquired this right at birth, and not because of political beliefs. I suggest Serb refugees look for Croatian documentation.

Šeks and Mesić are responsible

Vecernji List: Are you being hypocrtial when you are looking for Croatian documents, and simultaneously through Veritas, you accuse the entire political structure which has participated in the creation of the Croatian state and threaten the creation of a Serbian state in Croatia?

Štrbac: No, this is not hypocritical. Through Veritas, I offered proof to The Hague Prosecution authorities about crimes which have been committed against Serbs in Croatia. I was the link between the The Hague investigators and witnesses. I did not appoint Vladimir of Šeks as the head of where there were crimes were committed on Serbs. I did not place Stjepan Mesić in his position. Why did the Croatian Parliament strip Branimir Glavas of his immunity?

Vecernji List: How large has your role been in the case of Glavas, Šeks?

Štrbac: From 1994, Veritas, while we were still in Knin, we intensely cooperated with The Hague investigators. We cooperated with the investigators in the cases of Medacki pocket, Operation Storm and the Mercep case. Šeks was constantly viewed as the head of military headquarters. During that time, horrible things happened on boths sides, only in Croatia this was kept a secret.

Vecernji List: What connection does Mesić have with the case of Glavas?

Štrbac: Crimes did not happen in one week, and there is no noone in Croatia other than Šeks and Mesić, who have accepted responsibility for crimes committed against Serbs.

I was in Benkovac the day before

Vecernji List: Is it true on the eve of the genocide in Škrabnja and as a member of the military headquarters, you were fighting in Benkovac?

Štrbac: Yes, it is true that I was in Benkovac as a member of the military and because I have an apartment there. In reagards to the military action, I did not know anything until it was completed and until they called me from the military to participate in the surrender of remains. I was already at that time on the team to exchange remains as a lawyer. Bajic will not issue a complaint against me. They are accusing of falsifying documents, and The Hague Tribunal nevertheless with the judges. These men know and they would probably discover false facts. What are Croatians frightened of if the facts are proven false? They mention that Mladen Bajic can issue an indictment against me, this is someone's wish. During a period of time, they wrote how Štrbac' boss is in secret services and that is Bajic is a member of the group...
