Trial Chamber President and Judge Robinson Grants Carla Del Ponte's Motion to withdraw indictments against Margetic, Krizic, and Seselj

June 20, 2006: Trial Chamber III, under President and Judge Patrick Robinson grants Carla Del Ponte's decision to withdraw from charging and prosecuting three Croatian journalists accused of the so-called crime of "contempt of the tribunal." It seems as though the only one against her decision was Judge Iain Bonomy who seeked that the Trial Chamber announce his personal opinion regarding Carla Del Ponte's decision.

Based on Judge Bonomy's thinking, his opinion shows he is against Del Ponte's decision, however, in his decision he also states that it was wrong to try Croatian journalists in the first place. In the meantime, it is honorable that Judge Bonomy's opinion states that Carla Del Ponte's workstyle is questionable as are her motives.
