CROATIA JOURNALIST RELEASED FROM JAIL AFTER HUNGER STRIKE
September 7, 2006

BBC Monitoring International Reports
Zagreb, 6 September: Zagreb County Court on Wednesday [6 September] lifted the detention order against hunger striking journalist Domagoj Margetic, his lawyer confirmed.
Lawyer Veljko Miljevic told Hina in an interview that there were no legal grounds to hold Margetic in detention anymore and that his client had been released from the prison hospital in Zagreb.
Margetic has been in detention since 4 August after he refused to accept an order by the Hague tribunal to stop the publication of a list of protected witnesses who had testified in the trial of Bosnian Croat commander Tihomir Blaskic.
Margetic has been on hunger strike for 32 days.
